Keene Man Pleads Guilty to Child Exploitation

GRIMY TIMES – In a chilling turn of events, Connor Mueller, a 31-year-old resident of Keene, New Hampshire, has pleaded guilty to a heinous offense: possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan made the announcement today.

The guilty plea comes after an intensive undercover operation by federal and local law enforcement agencies. Mueller was identified as using specialized peer-to-peer software to receive and distribute videos containing CSAM. This software also allowed other users to access materials shared by Mueller, painting a picture of a potentially wider network of predators.

U.S. District Judge Steven McAuliffe has scheduled Mueller’s sentencing for December 16, 2025. The charging statute mandates a sentence of up to 20 years, to be determined by the federal district court judge based on U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statues.

According to law enforcement, multiple devices were seized from Mueller’s home during a search, revealing numerous images and videos depicting child sexual abuse. Homeland Security Investigations led the investigation, with invaluable assistance from the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Keene Police Department.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Vicinanzo is handling the prosecution of this case. The charges against Mueller are a stark reminder of the ongoing efforts by Project Safe Childhood to combat child exploitation and abuse. Launched in 2006, this nationwide initiative coordinates federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children.
