As part of the investigation, law enforcement officers conducted two searches of Hanes’ Davenport residence, seizing cocaine base, cocaine, a digital scale, packaging material, drug paraphernalia, and a significant amount of U.S. currency.

The case was investigated by the Davenport Police Department, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the Muscatine County Drug Task Force, and the Iowa Department of Public Safety-Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
