A Bentonville man has been sentenced to 8 years in federal prison for his role in transporting child pornography. Keith Alan Miller, age 36, was sentenced to 96 months in prison without the possibility of parole on one count of Transportation of Child Pornography, according to a recent court hearing in the U.S. District Court in Fayetteville.
According to court documents, in September 2021, the Rogers Police Department received a Cyber Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding suspected child pornography being uploaded to a Google account. Further investigation revealed that the email address associated with the Google account was assigned to Miller and that the account contained child pornography belonging to him.
Miller was indicted in April of 2022 and entered a plea of guilty in June of 2022.
The Rogers Police Department and the Arkansas Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force investigated the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Tyler Williams prosecuted the case.
The case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and CEOS, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
