Kendrick Parham, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Florida 2026

Tallahassee, Florida – In a move to keep dangerous felons off the streets, Kendrick Parham, 47, of Panama City, Florida, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. This successful prosecution delivers on the promise of Operation Take Back America, led by U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin for the Northern District of Florida.

According to court documents, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives assisted the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in executing a search warrant at Parham’s residence, where five ounces of methamphetamine were discovered. Parham was arrested on state charges and subsequently made incriminating statements during a monitored phone call about a firearm present in his residence, which was not found during the initial search.

Following the incriminating statements, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office obtained a new search warrant and recovered the firearm from Parham’s residence. As a four-time convicted felon, Parham is legally prohibited from possessing firearms. He faces imprisonment for up to 15 years at sentencing.

The case involved an investigation by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, with Assistant United States Attorney James A. McCain leading the prosecution. Sentencing is scheduled for May 29, 2026, at the United States Courthouse in Tallahassee before United States District Judge Mark E. Walker.
