Spencer Man Pleads Guilty to Meth Conspiracy Charge

In a shocking turn of events, 35-year-old Kenneth Alan Block of Spencer, Iowa, has pleaded guilty to a meth conspiracy charge in federal court in Sioux City. The crime, which took place from February 2021 through September 2021, involved the distribution of at least 2.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in the Spencer area.

According to court records, Block admitted to distributing the methamphetamine in conjunction with others. On September 29, 2021, he was found with approximately 170 grams of ice methamphetamine after giving consent to search his car.

Block is currently being held in the custody of the United States Marshal pending sentencing. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment and a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Additionally, he faces a $10,000,000 fine and at least five years of supervised release following any imprisonment.
