Cocaine Charge Rocks Pennsylvania Community
A 58-year-old California man has been hit with a serious charge in western Pennsylvania. Kenneth Kim Parks, a resident of Covina, California, has been indicted on a federal narcotics charge in connection to a large-scale cocaine operation.
According to the indictment, Parks attempted to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine on or about March 19, 2021.
Parks, who is facing serious consequences, could be sentenced to a maximum of 40 years in prison, fined $5,000,000, or both, under federal law.
The United States Postal Inspection Service conducted the investigation leading to the indictment, with Assistant United States Attorney Brendan J. McKenna handling the prosecution on behalf of the government.
An indictment is an accusation, and Parks is presumed innocent until proven guilty. His case serves as a reminder of the ongoing war against narcotics in Pennsylvania and the harsh penalties that come with it.
The indictment is a serious development in the case against Parks, and it remains to be seen how the prosecution will proceed. One thing is certain, however: this case will be closely watched by law enforcement and the community alike.
