WHITE SUPREMACY TERRORIST NAMED IN BOMBING PLOT
Kevin W. Harpham, a notorious white supremacist, has been implicated in a domestic terrorism case involving a remotely-controlled IED along the route of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Unity March in Spokane, Washington.
According to sources, Harpham planted the explosive device, which was designed to target minority groups celebrating the civil rights leader’s birthday. The plot was foiled, and Harpham was subsequently charged with domestic terrorism.
The case against Harpham is a stark reminder of the dangers of right-wing extremism. Harpham’s involvement in the plot has been linked to his affiliation with white supremacist groups, highlighting the need for increased vigilance against hate crimes.
Kevin Harpham, a 37-year-old resident of Coulee Dam, Washington, was arrested on January 26, 2011. He was charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and possession of an unregistered firearm.
The FBI investigation into the bombing plot revealed that Harpham had been involved with the Aryan Nations and other white supremacist organizations. His activities were deemed a threat to national security, and he was subsequently charged with domestic terrorism.
In a statement, Attorney General Jeff Sessions praised the work of law enforcement in foiling the plot, saying, ‘Joseph Harrington has 27 years of experience as a federal prosecutor. He has taken on white supremacists, domestic terrorists, health care fraudsters, and many other criminals.’
Joseph Harrington, the Interim United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, said, ‘It’s a humbling day. I am honored to have been asked to serve as the Interim United States Attorney and to have the opportunity to continue working alongside the truly dedicated professionals in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington.’
Harrington has a long and distinguished career in federal law enforcement, having served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office since 1990. He has litigated both civil and criminal cases and has held various positions, including First Assistant United States Attorney, Criminal Chief, and Health Care Fraud Coordinator.
