A 20-year-old man was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for stealing 18 firearms from a federal firearms licensee in Winchester, New Hampshire.
Khale Guillou, 20, of Swanzey, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Samantha Elliot to 18 months in federal prison and 3 years of supervised release.
Guillou pleaded guilty in March 2025 to one count of theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee (FFL).
The crime occurred on the night of July 6, 2024, when Guillou broke into Trader John’s Gun Shop and stole 17 handguns and one rifle.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives led the investigation, with assistance from the Keene, Swanzey, Winchester, and Tewksbury Police Departments.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Anna Krasinski prosecuted the case, which is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative to combat violent crime.
The sentence sends a message that those who fuel gun violence will be held accountable, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Jay McCormack.
