A 22-year-old man from Highland Park, Michigan, has been brought to justice for his involvement in a firearms conspiracy in West Virginia.
Khorion Williams, a 22-year-old resident of Highland Park, Michigan, has admitted to conspiring with others to illegally purchase firearms in Monongalia County, West Virginia, in May 2018.
According to the investigation, Williams and his accomplices worked together to circumvent federal firearms laws, leading to the illegal acquisition of firearms.
The seriousness of the offense and the defendant’s prior criminal history, if any, will be taken into consideration when determining the actual sentence imposed.
Williams faces up to five years of incarceration and a fine of up to $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher L. Bauer on behalf of the government, with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives conducting the investigation.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Aloi presided over the proceedings.
The defendant’s guilty plea marks a significant development in the case, and it remains to be seen how the court will ultimately sentence him.
