A 35-year-old Summersville man is headed to prison for waving a gun in a West Virginia neighborhood. Jonathan Wayne Vickers possessed a 9mm pistol on February 13, 2024, despite being a convicted felon.
Vickers’ prior convictions for burglary and grand larceny in 2021, plus a conspiracy charge in 2015, made him a prohibited person under federal law.
Prosecutors say Vickers knew he was barred from owning a firearm, but that didn’t stop him from packing heat in the Summersville area.
