Corbin Vincent, Possession of a Firearm, California 2022

⏱ 2 min read

In a grim reminder of the consequences of playing with fire, Corbin Vincent, a 37-year-old Hot Springs resident, is headed to the joint for 15 long years. Vincent, a multi-convicted felon with a history of violent crimes, was caught with a Taurus G2C .40 caliber firearm and is now facing the music.

According to the feds, it all started with a tip from agents in the Intensive Supervision Program who received a screenshot from a social media platform showing Vincent flaunting his gun. When he arrived at his parole office, agents detained him and conducted a search of his person and vehicle, uncovering the firearm in the backseat.

Vincent’s claim that he bought the gun to protect himself didn’t fly with the judge, who handed down a 180-month sentence. With at least three prior convictions for violent felonies, Vincent was classified as an armed career criminal, qualifying him for an enhanced sentence.

The case was a collaborative effort between the ATF, North Little Rock Police Department, and the Division of Community Correction. Vincent’s crimes include state felony convictions for possession of firearms by certain persons and four robberies that went down in a span of one week in 2007.
