A 41-year-old Jonesboro woman is headed to the slammer for her role in a major methamphetamine trafficking operation in Northeast Arkansas. Amie Eggers pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, as well as conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The feds say Eggers was a key player in a large-scale drug distribution organization that was flooding the region with meth. Authorities seized 45 pounds of meth, 10 pounds of marijuana, one pound of cocaine, and six firearms during the investigation.

Eggers was arrested in April 2024 and initially claimed to have possessed methamphetamine, but later pleaded guilty to more serious charges. She was sentenced to 132 months in federal prison by Judge Lee P. Rudofsky.

The investigation, led by the FBI and DEA, revealed that Eggers had traveled to Houston, Texas, to purchase large quantities of meth from the organization’s leader, Cesar Cortez-Rocha.
