Fraudulent Fund Usage Lands Former Calumet Township Trustee Behind Bars
In a shocking turn of events, former Calumet Township Trustee Kimberly Robinson, 57, of Gary, Indiana, has been sentenced to one year of probation and ordered to pay $11,200 in restitution after pleading guilty to a single count of wire fraud.
The sentencing took place on [no date given] before United States District Court Judge Gretchen S. Lund. Robinson had previously resigned her position as Calumet Township Trustee, a local governmental entity responsible for providing public assistance to individuals and families in need.
