Porcupine Man Faces Attempted Murder Charges After Deadly Altercation
A Porcupine, South Dakota, man has been indicted on serious charges following a violent incident that left a male victim with serious bodily injury. Kison Robertson, age 45, was indicted on April 12, 2017, by a federal grand jury for Attempted Murder, two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, and Discharge of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime of Violence.
According to the indictment, Robertson used a firearm to attempt to murder a male on March 30, 2017, at Porcupine. The suspect also allegedly assaulted the male and his son using the same firearm, resulting in serious bodily injury to the male victim.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is life imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine, 5 years of supervised release, and $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered in this case.
Robertson appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Daneta Wollmann on April 14, 2017, and pleaded not guilty to the Indictment.
