St. Paul, Minnesota – A Mississippi man has been sentenced to over a decade in prison for his role in an armed robbery and multiple gun crimes spanning across two states.

Ladarius Snipes, a 27-year-old from Indianola, Mississippi, was sentenced to 155 months in prison, including 120 months for the armed robbery of a Backyard Burgers restaurant in Cleveland, Mississippi, and 35 months for gun crimes committed in Minnesota. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Donovan W. Frank.

The crimes took place on August 7, 2021, when Snipes allegedly robbed the Backyard Burgers restaurant in Cleveland, Mississippi. He also pleaded guilty to making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm and to possession of a stolen firearm in Minnesota.

According to court documents, Snipes pled guilty to one count of Hobbs Act robbery and one count of discharging a firearm during a crime of violence related to the armed robbery.
