Ladonna Susan Riddell, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Kentucky 2022

Ladonna Susan Riddell, a 36-year-old woman from Irvine, Kentucky, has been sentenced to 165 months in federal prison for her role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation.

On July 29, 2022, law enforcement responded to a report of a suspected drug transaction in Estill County. During the investigation, Riddell was located and discovered to have an active arrest warrant. She was taken into custody and a search of her vehicle uncovered 163.32 grams of methamphetamine.

Riddell admitted to intending to distribute the methamphetamine, which is a felony offense under federal law. The investigation was conducted by the DEA and Estill County Sheriff’s Office.

Riddell must serve 85 percent of her prison sentence, which translates to approximately 140 months. After her release from prison, she will be under the supervision of the U.S. Probation Office for five years.

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, Carlton S. Shier, IV, along with the DEA and Estill County Sheriff’s Office, jointly announced Riddell’s sentence. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ron Walker and Brittany Baker are prosecuting the case on behalf of the United States.

Riddell’s crimes have serious consequences, not only for herself but also for the community. Methamphetamine trafficking can lead to addiction, overdose, and other health problems.
