NEW ORLEANS, LA – In a shocking turn of events, authorities in Louisiana have arrested 19-year-old Lance Rotolo, Jr. for his alleged involvement in child sex abuse.

According to the indictment, Rotolo produced and distributed explicit content featuring young girls, including one as young as less than one year old. The indictment also alleges that Rotolo attempted to produce a visual depiction of a 6-year-old girl engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Furthermore, he allegedly sent threatening messages to a victim, demanding that she send him explicit content.

The charges against Rotolo include five counts: sexual exploitation of children, distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), receiving CSAM, and transmitting extortionate interstate communications. These charges are in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2251(a), 2252(a)(2), 2252(a)(2), and 875(d), respectively.

The arrest of Rotolo is a result of Operation Restore Justice, a nationwide crackdown on child sex abuse offenders led by the FBI. The operation resulted in the rescue of 115 children and the arrests of 205 child sexual abuse offenders across the country.

Rotolo’s indictment was announced by Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson, who stated that the operation signals the unrelenting effort to identify and prosecute those responsible for the sexual exploitation of youth. The FBI is committed to protecting children and will continue to be relentless in pursuing those who exploit the most vulnerable among us.

Lance Rotolo, Jr. is currently 19 years old and resides in Harvey, Louisiana. He was indicted on May 2, 2025, and the charges against him are still pending.
