COLUMBUS, Ohio – In a grim reminder of the dangers of narcotics trafficking, a Columbus man has been sentenced to multiple life sentences and 60 months in prison for his role in a murder and narcotics conspiracy that left three people dead and their bodies brutally dismembered and buried.
Larry J. Williams, Jr., 44, also known as “J Streets” and “J”, was found guilty of all 16 counts as charged against him in a second superseding indictment in September 2021. The charges included three counts of murder, which resulted in three consecutive life sentences, as well as five other life sentences to run concurrently with all other counts.
The crimes took place in 2018, when Williams was a leader of a narcotics conspiracy that robbed a local marijuana dealer of drugs and cash. In the process, they shot and killed Connor Reynolds, a 23-year-old from Grove City. To cover up this murder, Williams went on to kill two more people – Henry Watson, a 52-year-old from Columbus, and Tera Pennington, a 48-year-old from Columbus – both of whom had knowledge of the first murder.
Williams then directed others to clean the crime scene with bleach and other chemicals, and to dismember and remove the bodies from the scene. The victims’ remains were later buried at another location. Williams was also found guilty of conspiring to obstruct justice by concealing the bodies of Henry Watson and Tera Pennington.
The investigation into Williams’ crimes was a joint effort involving the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), Franklin County Coroner’s Office, Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center (ONIC), U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF), the Columbus Division of Fire, and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Co-defendant Patrick Foster, 41, of Columbus, was sentenced to 70 months in prison for his role in the conspiracy. Foster had directed others to assist Williams in moving and disposing of two dead bodies, and had also helped to bury the dismembered remains at a location on Sullivant Avenue.
The case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of narcotics trafficking and the devastating consequences that can follow.
