A Dauphin County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in cocaine trafficking in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Larry Patterson, 32, was stopped by law enforcement in Harrisburg in 2022. At the time, he was found to be in possession of 29 grams of crack cocaine in two clear plastic baggies, as well as a digital scale.
United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam announced that Patterson was sentenced on March 12, 2024, to 10 years in prison, to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release, by United States District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Harrisburg City Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Johnny Baer and Michael Scalera prosecuted the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
On May 26, 2021, the U.S. Attorney’s Office launched a violent crime reduction strategy strengthening PSN based on these core principles: fostering trust and legitimacy in our communities, supporting community-based organizations that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place, setting focused and strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring the results.
