LAZARO CARBAJAL-AVILES, age 41, a citizen of Mexico, has been caught in a web of deceit and deception after pleading guilty to illegal reentry in federal court. According to U.S. Attorney Dana J. Boente, CARBAJAL-AVILES was charged with a one-count indictment for illegal re-entry by a removed alien.

CARBAJAL-AVILES was found guilty and sentenced by U.S. District Judge Helen G. Berrigan to time served. He will also be placed on three years of supervised release upon his release from custody, during which time he will be under federal supervision and risks an additional term of imprisonment should he violate any terms of supervised release.

As part of his sentence, CARBAJAL-AVILES will be transferred to the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
