A 37-year-old woman from Canadian, Oklahoma has been sentenced to 3 years probation for embezzling mail packages.
Leanda Joanne Prather, a former United States Postal Service employee, was found guilty of embezzling packages entrusted to her while performing her duties at the Eufaula Post Office.
According to court documents, Prather embezzled packages between August 2, 2016, and December 20, 2016. The investigation, led by the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General, revealed that Prather willfully, knowingly, and unlawfully took packages from her work.
