Lesley Wilt, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2025

Two Altoona residents have been brought to justice after pleading guilty to methamphetamine trafficking charges in federal court. Lesley Wilt, 38, and Jason Lynn, 39, entered guilty pleas to various narcotics-related offenses in connection with a six-month Title III wiretap investigation into drug trafficking in and around Blair, Cambria, Centre, and Clearfield counties.

The investigation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, uncovered a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation based in Altoona. Lynn, the leader of the organization, distributed significant quantities of methamphetamine and smaller amounts of heroin and fentanyl to various individuals throughout the Western District of Pennsylvania.

As part of their guilty pleas, Wilt and Lynn admitted to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute a quantity of methamphetamine. Lynn also pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute and distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and a quantity of heroin, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The investigation revealed that Lynn had obtained over 4.5 kilograms of pure methamphetamine and over 65 grams of heroin from a New York-based supplier. Lynn and his associates, including Wilt, then redistributed these substances to others in the region.

Lesley Wilt pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a quantity of methamphetamine. The law provides for a total sentence of up to 20 years of prison, a fine of up to $1 million, or both for Wilt.

Jason Lynn pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute and distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and a quantity of heroin, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The law provides for a total sentence of not less than 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $10 million, or both for Lynn.

Judge Stephanie L. Haines scheduled sentencing for both defendants for September 22, 2025. The court ordered that both Wilt and Lynn remain detained pending sentencing.

Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan D. Lusty is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. The Drug Enforcement Administration led the multi-agency investigation, which also involved the United States Postal Service–Office of Inspector General, United States Postal Inspection Service, Homeland Security Investigations, Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, and Pennsylvania State Police.

This prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation, which aims to disrupt and dismantle high-level drug traffickers and their networks.
