A Memphis man was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for producing, distributing, and possessing child pornography. Lewis Falkner, 35, was handed down the sentence on February 1, 2022, by United States District Judge John T. Fowlkes, Jr.
According to information presented in court, in June 2019, an undercover FBI agent began chatting on an instant messaging application with a man who said he had access to two 5-year-old boys. The man, later identified as Falkner, sent photographs of himself, and eventually, pornographic videos and photographs of the two children.
Falkner also invited the undercover FBI agent to meet with him to engage in the sexual abuse of one of the children. Through the investigation, it was revealed that the children were 4-year-old relatives of a friend of Falkner.
The FBI Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated this case. Assistant United States Attorney Lauren J. Delery prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
Falkner was sentenced to 420 months imprisonment, which is equivalent to 35 years, to be followed by lifetime supervised release. He must also register for life as a sex offender. There is no parole in the federal system.
This case is a stark reminder of the importance of protecting our children from harm. The FBI and the United States Attorney’s office are committed to pursuing those who prey on the vulnerable.
