Michael S. Dockery, Child Pornography Distribution, Lima OH, 2023

Shocking revelations have emerged as Michael S. Dockery, a 30-year-old resident of Lima, Ohio, faces serious charges for distributing child pornography. According to Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, Dockery stands accused of receiving, distributing, and possessing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The allegations claim that from February 10, 2012, through June 1, 2012, Dockery used a computer to receive and distribute numerous files containing graphic images of real children. A thorough investigation by the FBI turned up alarming evidence on June 5, 2012, when child pornography was discovered on his HP Compaq desktop, Dell laptop, and six thumb drives.

Further investigation led to additional findings of child porn on Dockery’s HP Probook 4530s laptop on February 4, 2013. The case took another turn on February 22, 2013, with the discovery of more child pornography on yet another thumb drive.

Should Dockery be convicted, his sentence will be determined by the court, taking into account Federal Sentencing Guidelines and specific factors related to this case. Regardless, any sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum and is typically less than that amount.

The Lima Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been instrumental in the prosecution of Dockery’s case, which is being handled by Assistant United States Attorney Carol M. Skutnik. As always, an indictment is merely a charge and does not constitute evidence of guilt. Dockery is entitled to a fair trial where the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
