Lockport Man Sentenced for Oxymorphone and Marijuana Charges

Troy Gillon, Jr., a 25-year-old Lockport man, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for his involvement in oxymorphone and marijuana trafficking in the community.

According to U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr., the sentencing was handed down by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo after Gillon was convicted of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, oxymorphone, possession with intent to distribute THC and marijuana, and maintaining a drug-involved premises.

The investigation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, involved a series of controlled purchases of oxymorphone from Gillon, which ultimately led to a search warrant being executed at his residence on Dysinger Road in Lockport.

During the raid, agents recovered a large stash of marijuana, oxycodone tablets, marijuana chocolate chip cookies and gummy bears, as well as two packages of clear plastic baggies and a drug ledger. The total haul included $2,243.65 in cash and a 14-karat gold diamond bracelet, both of which were seized as proceeds from illegal drug sales.

The sentencing is the result of a joint investigation between the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division; Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Kevin Kelly, and the Lockport Police Department, under the direction of Chief Michael Niethe.

Gillon’s sentencing marks a significant blow to the local drug trade, and serves as a warning to those involved in similar activities. The Grimy Times will continue to follow this story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
