Louie Anthony Salemi, Child Pornography Distribution and Possession, Florida 2014

An Orlando man has been sentenced to 24 years in federal prison for his involvement in the distribution and possession of child pornography.

Louie Anthony Salemi (33), a resident of Orlando, Florida, was sentenced to 19 years and 7 months in federal prison for distribution of child pornography. This sentence will be followed by a consecutive term of 4 years and 10 months’ imprisonment for possession of child pornography.

Salemi was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervision as part of his sentence. He pleaded guilty to the charges on May 2, 2014.

According to court documents, the FBI conducted a forensic examination of Salemi’s cell phone and computer as part of a search warrant. The examination revealed that Salemi had distributed child pornography at least 79 times, with over 3,200 images and 20 videos of child pornography found on his devices.

The images and videos depicted prepubescent children, and the forensic examination provided evidence of Salemi’s involvement in the distribution and possession of child pornography.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Christopher LaForgia.

The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. This initiative marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.
