Lucas Michael McNulty-Snodgrass, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Iowa 2021

A Davenport man, Lucas Michael McNulty-Snodgrass, was sentenced to 210 months in prison for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and a Mixture and Substance Containing Fentanyl and Felon in Possession of Firearms and Ammunition.

On December 22, 2021, United States District Court Chief Judge John A. Jarvey handed down the sentence. McNulty-Snodgrass, 29, was also ordered to serve five years of supervised release to follow his prison term and pay $200 to the Crime Victims’ Fund.

The case against McNulty-Snodgrass began when law enforcement identified him as a distributor of methamphetamine and prescription pills in the Davenport area. On multiple occasions, officers purchased methamphetamine and fentanyl directly from McNulty-Snodgrass.

Following the purchases, law enforcement obtained a search warrant for McNulty-Snodgrass’s residence in Davenport on December 2, 2020. During the search, officers found over 200 grams of ice methamphetamine, over 110 grams of fentanyl in the form of pills, scales, and drug packaging material. Additionally, a shotgun, two pistols, and more than 100 rounds of ammunition were discovered.

As a convicted felon out of Clinton County, Iowa, McNulty-Snodgrass was prohibited from owning or possessing firearms and ammunition.

The case was investigated by the Davenport Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration, with the announcement made by United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa.

McNulty-Snodgrass’s crimes have serious consequences for the community. His actions have led to the distribution of harmful substances and the proliferation of guns in the area. This sentencing serves as a reminder of the severe penalties for drug trafficking and firearm offenses.
