A man convicted of child sex crimes has been arrested again in Pima County, Arizona, after being mistakenly released from custody. David Lee Rodriguez was arrested on April 10, 2024 on charges of Failure to Comply with Conditions of Probation and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
The arrest comes after Rodriguez was mistakenly released from the Pima County Jail on April 9, 2024. He was initially arrested in 2023 on charges of child sex crimes, including Aggravated Assault and Sexual Conduct with a Minor.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has apologized for the mistake and is conducting an investigation into how Rodriguez was released prematurely. Rodriguez is being held at the Pima County Jail without bond.
