MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Mariano Gabriel-Gabriel, a/k/a Mariana Gabriel, a/k/a Gabriel Mariano, 28, a Mexican national unlawfully present in LeFlore County, has been sentenced to time served for Unlawful Reentry of a Removed Alien. The sentence comes following a guilty plea on August 11, 2025.
According to investigators, Gabriel-Gabriel was discovered in the United States without permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security on June 30, 2025. He had been previously removed on May 11, 2017. The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a Justice Department initiative targeting illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Erin Cornell represented the United States during the hearing held before Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Gabriel-Gabriel’s sentence underscores the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division’s efforts in partnership with local law enforcement to combat illegal immigration.
Operation Take Back America, a joint effort between OCDETFs and PSN, aims to repel illegal immigration, dismantle cartels and TCOs, and safeguard communities. The sentencing of Gabriel-Gabriel is a testament to the ongoing commitment to protect American citizens from violent crime and organized criminal elements.
As part of his sentence, Gabriel-Gabriel will be required to serve no additional time in federal custody. His unlawful presence in the United States has been addressed, and he is now facing the consequences of his actions.
