Marilyn Bagley, a 49-year-old woman from Lebanon, Missouri, has been charged with a serious crime – sex offender registration violation.
According to a federal indictment, Bagley knowingly failed to register or update her registration between February 14, 2015, and March 18, 2015. This is a serious offense, and Bagley is currently in federal custody.
A guilty plea in 2012 revealed Bagley’s role in a sex trafficking conspiracy, which involved a victim being subjected to sadistic acts of torture over a six-year period. As part of her sentence, Bagley was required to register as a sex offender.
However, in 2015, the court found that Bagley had violated the terms of her probation. Her probation was revoked, and she was sentenced to four years in federal prison without parole.
The indictment is not evidence of guilt, but rather an accusation. A federal trial jury will determine Bagley’s guilt or innocence.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Carney, and it was investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service.
The case highlights the importance of sex offender registration and the consequences of failing to comply with these regulations.
Marilyn Bagley’s case is a reminder that sex offenders must register and comply with the terms of their probation to avoid further consequences.
