Raymore, Mo. — Mario Ambrose Antoine, 33, is behind bars on federal charges after a years-long scheme to exploit women under the false promise of lucrative pornography modeling gigs. A 21-count indictment unsealed October 27, 2016, exposes Antoine’s web of lies — posing as a talent manager for fake companies like “Playboy Worldwide” and “Dash Agency” to lure victims into recorded sexual encounters.
Antoine allegedly used multiple online aliases to audition dozens of women across the Kansas City area, beginning in August 2011. He promised payments of thousands of dollars for modeling work, claiming the shoots were for private overseas adult websites. Instead, the so-called auditions involved Antoine engaging in sexual acts with victims — all recorded without their informed consent. No money ever changed hands.
To sell the scam, Antoine forged IRS tax forms, fake paychecks, and Department of Homeland Security employment documents. He registered fraudulent domain names and built fake Facebook profiles to bolster his phony credentials. The indictment details how he used these props to manipulate victims into believing they were entering legal, profitable contracts.
When women demanded payment, Antoine escalated the abuse. He allegedly forwarded explicit images of victims to their employers and romantic partners. In one case, he threatened to release videos of Victim 1 unless she paid $9,000 or performed additional sexual acts. On April 7, 2015, she returned to his home to comply — not as a model, but as a target of coercion.
Antoine’s digital trail reveals chilling premeditation. On November 12, 2015, he searched Google for terms including “rape by deception kansas” and reviewed law journals on the legality of fraud-induced sex. The indictment cites six identified victims, including one to whom Antoine sent 15 photos of Victim 1, falsely claiming they were of a paid model named “Nikki” earning $24,000 for three shoots.
Charged with 12 counts of wire fraud, two counts of cyberstalking, two of online enticement, and additional counts of false statements, obstruction of justice, extortion, and false domain registration, Antoine remains in federal custody. The case, prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, underscores a disturbing trend of predators weaponizing digital identities to exploit the vulnerable.
