Fort Wayne Man Sentenced for Crack Cocaine Offense
Fort Wayne, Indiana – In a shocking turn of events, Mark Honer, 29, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced to 92 months imprisonment and 4 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offense of possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine.
According to court documents, Honer’s crimes were uncovered during an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Fort Wayne Police Department. The investigation revealed that Honer was involved in multiple ‘controlled’ drug transactions, where crack cocaine was purchased from him.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery. ‘This sentence sends a clear message that we will not tolerate drug trafficking in our community,’ said Lowery in a statement.
Honer’s guilty plea and subsequent sentencing are a testament to the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies working together to keep our streets safe.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Indiana has made it clear that they will continue to prioritize cases like Honer’s, where individuals are using their positions to traffic and distribute illicit substances.
As the investigation into Honer’s crimes continues, the community can rest assured that justice will be served. The Grimy Times will continue to provide updates on this and other cases in the coming weeks.
