Marshall Williams, Child Predation, Missouri 2024

A St. Louis man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for recording his sexual abuse of a five-year-old.

Marshall Williams, 41, pleaded guilty in November to one count of production of child pornography, an egregious crime that has shaken the community.

According to court documents, Williams admitted to sexually abusing the victim and recording the abuse with his cell phone in March 2024. When the victim’s aunt discovered the videos, she alerted the victim’s mother, who confronted Williams. He fled to Columbia, Missouri, where he was eventually arrested.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson prosecuted the case.

Williams’ sentence is a result of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet and to identify and rescue victims.

Williams was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Cristian M. Stevens, who acknowledged the severity of the crime and the importance of holding perpetrators accountable.

This case serves as a stark reminder of the need for continued vigilance and cooperation in preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation. The Grimy Times will continue to follow this story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
