Pittsburgh Man Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Distribution

A 25-year-old Pittsburgh resident has pleaded guilty to committing firearm and drug trafficking crimes, according to federal court documents.

Marvin Tymous pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute a quantity of cocaine between September 2023 and December 2023 and to possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime on December 15, 2023.

Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting this case on behalf of the United States, while the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Tymous.

The law provides for a total maximum sentence of not less than five years and up to life in prison, a fine of up to $1 million, or both. Under the federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Tymous is scheduled to be sentenced on June 25, 2025, by United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan.
