South Bend, IN – In a bold move to crack down on the city’s notorious speakeasies, Dry Administrator Major Howard Long has recommended that Mayor W R Hinkle revoke the licenses of establishments found to be violating Prohibition laws. The suggestion was made in a letter to City Controller Rudolph Aekermann, who referred it to the Mayor for review.
