HARRISBURG – Dane Robert Pollock, the former basketball coach at McConnellsburg High School in Pennsylvania, was indicted for sexual exploitation of children and child pornography on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
According to U.S. Attorney Bruce D. Brandler, the charges against 33-year-old Pollock include taking nude photographs and videos of a minor female student under the age of 18 in 2016. The indictment was handed down by a federal grand jury.
Pollock appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Martin C. Carlson on June 1, 2017, where he was ordered detained until his trial date set for August 7, 2017. The case is under the jurisdiction of United States District Court Judge Sylvia H. Rambo.
This investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Meredith A. Taylor is handling the prosecution of this grave matter.
