A 22-year-old man from Wolf Point, Montana, has been charged with assault and other crimes following a Grand Jury indictment.
Melvin Moses Lilley, III, was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Johnston on May 6, 2015, and entered a plea of Not Guilty.
Lilley is accused of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault resulting in serious bodily injury, and use of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
According to the indictment, if convicted of the most serious charges, Lilley faces life in prison, $250,000 in fines, and 5 years supervised release.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice.
Lilley’s case is currently pending and has a PACER Case Reference of 15-16.
