In a brutal display of deadly greed, three Memphis men were sentenced for their roles in a massive fentanyl trafficking operation that ravaged the city’s streets.
Darius Moore, 39, and Mervin Anderson, 40, were convicted alongside Mario Gardner, 49, for conspiring to distribute the highly addictive and lethal synthetic opioid, fentanyl.
The trio, linked to the notorious Young Mob Military gang, mailed thousands of fentanyl pills through the US Postal Service, disguised as Oxycodone, to unsuspecting citizens.
The pills, stamped with blue symbols to mimic the real deal, were referred to as ‘blues’ or ‘blues clues’ by the gang members.
Prosecutors revealed that the gang sold these deadly pills at gas stations, grocery stores, and other public spots, putting countless lives at risk.
