Edeer Avila, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Indiana 2024

INDIANAPOLIS- In a massive打击 on the drug trade, 22 individuals have been locked away for their roles in an extensive methamphetamine and money laundering conspiracy that funneled hundreds of pounds of the deadly substance from the Southwest Border to Indianapolis. However, the 23rd defendant, Edeer Avila, remains a fugitive, evading justice.

Avila, 34, faces conspiracy charges for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, but his whereabouts are currently unknown. His capture is a top priority for law enforcement.

Martin Felix-Garcia, 36 of Phoenix, AZ, was one of the first to be sentenced, receiving a 25-year term behind bars. Garcia was also handed a 5-year supervised release upon his release from prison.

Isaias Gonzalez-Torres, 34, an Indianapolis native, was sentenced to 24 years and 4 months for the same charges as Felix-Garcia. Erlin Lucero-Asencio, 33 of Indianapolis, received a 27-year sentence, while facing additional charges of illegal alien status.

Among other convictions, Juliann Magallanez, 36 of Terre Haute, IN, was sentenced to 15 years for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Dillon Smith, 34, also from Terre Haute, received a 17-year term for the same offense.

The sentences reflect the gravity of the drug trafficking operation that has been dismantled, but the search for Edeer Avila continues as authorities strive to bring him and any other remaining fugitives to justice.
