Methamphetamine Ring Cracks in Parsons, WV

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – A Tucker County man has admitted to his role in a methamphetamine distribution operation, leaving behind a trail of devastation in its wake.

Dustin Bruce Moran, age 33, of Parsons, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.’

According to court documents, Moran had more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in his possession in April 2018 in Randolph County.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon S. Flower is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government, while the Mountain Region Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force led the investigation.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided over the case, which has now moved into the sentencing phase.

Moran faces not less than ten years and up to life incarceration, as well as a fine of up to $10,000,000.

The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
