A Pass Christian man has been found guilty of his role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation. Michael Dedeaux, a resident of Pass Christian, Mississippi, was stopped by authorities on March 29, 2022, near West North Street and Fitzpatrick Avenue in Pass Christian.
During the traffic stop, law enforcement seized 442 grams of methamphetamine. The discovery led to Dedeaux’s arrest and subsequent charges for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
As part of a plea agreement, Dedeaux has pleaded guilty to the charges. He will be sentenced on January 27, 2023, and faces a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $5 million. A federal district judge will determine the final sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erica Rose prosecuted the case.
