Local Man Faces Lengthy Prison Time for Methamphetamine Trafficking

An Allen County man, Michael Johnson, 46, has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for his involvement in methamphetamine trafficking. This conviction serves as a stark reminder of the dangers and consequences associated with this illicit substance.

According to court documents, on April 3, 2022, in Allen County, Kentucky, Johnson possessed with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. This serious offense has landed him in a federal prison cell for the next 11 years.

Johnson’s sentence also includes 5 years of supervised release upon his release from prison. Unfortunately, in the federal system, there is no parole option to reduce his sentence.

The investigation into Johnson’s activities was a collaborative effort between the DEA Bowling Green Post of Duty Office and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office. Their tireless work has helped to keep our communities safer by bringing another methamphetamine trafficker to justice.

Michael Johnson, 46, was sentenced to 11 years in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release for possessing with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
