Defendant Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Distribution

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – Grimy Times has learned that a Michigan man has been charged with methamphetamine trafficking in a federal court in West Virginia.

Michael Robinson-Brown, 26, of Detroit, Michigan, admitted today to the distribution of methamphetamine. According to court documents and statements made in court, Robinson-Brown was one of the leaders of a drug trafficking organization operating in Monongalia County.

Robinson-Brown would supply the methamphetamine to others to sell, putting the lives of countless West Virginians at risk. The Mon Metro Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided over the hearing.

Robinson-Brown faces up to 20 years in prison. A federal district court judge will determine the sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
