Buffalo Woman Sentenced to Prison for Oxycodone Distribution

A Buffalo woman has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison for her role in a oxycodone distribution ring. Michelle S. Kidd, 39, was found guilty of selling $6,000 worth of oxycodone pills to an individual at her Buffalo residence between August 2014 and January 2015.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Kidd sold a total of $6,000 worth of oxycodone pills to an individual at her Buffalo residence. Oxycodone has been linked to a surge in overdose deaths in the area, with authorities describing the situation as an epidemic. United States Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. has vowed to crack down on those responsible for the crisis.

The investigation into Kidd’s activities was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of James J. Hunt, Special Agent in Charge, New York Field Division. The sentencing is the culmination of the investigation.
