Javor McCoy, Fraud & Bribery, Virginia 2024

Midlothian resident Javor McCoy, 43, has been sentenced to 25 months in federal prison after being caught in a web of fraud and bribery. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia for McCoy’s crimes involving falsified court documents and paying a bribe to a Veteran’s Administration (VA) contracting officer.

Court records show that McCoy attempted to dodge a civil court appearance by sending a fraudulent criminal summons, complete with a forged signature of a U.S. magistrate judge. The document was altered to indicate a fictitious court date, related to charges for his role in the bribery of a public official.

Mccoy, who owned Ready 2 Go Transport Central LLC (R2G Central), a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, paid Glenn Dartone Johnson, 50, of San Antonio, approximately $100,000. Johnson, a VA contracting officer, was accused of providing information about the VA bid process and influencing it to favor R2G Central.

In January, McCoy pleaded guilty to charges in both cases. Judge Garcia ordered that his sentences be served concurrently, with an additional three years of supervised release following his prison term.

Glenn Dartone Johnson pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit bribery of a public official and is set to be sentenced on September 19, 2024.

The case was investigated by the FBI and VA-OIG, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Justin Chung and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Jay Porier leading the prosecution. The announcement of the sentencing was made by U.S. Attorney Jaime Esparza of the Western District of Texas.
