A Carol Stream, Illinois man has been sentenced to 264 months in federal prison for his role in a large-scale methamphetamine distribution ring in the Quad Cities area of Iowa.
Milford Rogers, 33, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine after a thorough investigation by the United States Postal Inspection Service, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
According to court documents, Rogers conspired with co-conspirators to distribute methamphetamine in the Quad Cities area, receiving pound quantities of the illicit substance through the mail, including one package containing three pounds of methamphetamine.
Rogers distributed multiple kilograms of methamphetamine throughout the Quad Cities, further contributing to the region’s already severe opioid epidemic.
The case against Rogers was announced by United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa. After serving his full term of imprisonment, Rogers will be required to serve a five-year term of supervised release.
Rogers’ sentence is the culmination of a years-long investigation into large-scale methamphetamine trafficking in the Quad Cities area.
The investigation was conducted by the United States Postal Inspection Service, DEA, and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
