Sex Trafficker Caught in Hollywood, Florida
A Milwaukee man has been charged with sex trafficking a minor and producing child pornography, according to court documents unsealed in Madison, Wisconsin. Stelio Kalkounos, 51, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was arrested at a hotel in Hollywood, Florida, and is currently being held at the Broward County Jail.
The indictment alleges that Kalkounos recruited, enticed, and obtained a minor, knowing she would be caused to engage in commercial sex acts from July 16, 2023, to March 1, 2024. The indictment further alleges that on November 20, 2023, Kalkounos used a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct.
Kalkounos is charged with sex trafficking of a minor, which carries a minimum penalty of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison. He is also charged with producing child pornography, which carries a minimum penalty of 25 years and a maximum of 50 years in prison.

The charges against Kalkounos were the result of an investigation by the FBI Madison Field Office, with assistance from the FBI Tampa and Miami Field Offices and the Seminole Police Department in Florida. Assistant U.S. Attorney Taylor Kraus is handling the prosecution.
Kalkounos is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Madison for further proceedings. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
