HARRISBURG – In a chilling revelation, Jerome Anthony Oliver, also known as ‘Daddy,’ has been hit with federal charges for sex trafficking a minor. The 53-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, stands accused of exploiting the young victim through force, fraud, and coercion over a period from November 1, 2024, to April 28, 2025.
The indictment further指控Oliver on April 28, 2025, transported the minor and another victim across state lines with the intent for them to engage in prostitution. The Pennsylvania State troopers apprehended Oliver that day, placing him behind bars on related charges.
Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus has led this investigation, which was jointly conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Stephen Dukes is now prosecuting the case with a severity that matches the gravity of the allegations.
This harrowing case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. Since its launch in 2006, the program has been instrumental in identifying, rescuing, and bringing to justice those who prey on children.
Under federal law, Oliver faces life imprisonment for his crimes, with a minimum sentence of 15 years, plus supervised release and fines. The outcome of this case will be determined by the Judge after considering all applicable federal sentencing statutes and guidelines.
It’s important to note that while indictments are serious allegations, they do not equate to guilt. Oliver is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
