Multiple Arrests Made in Oklahoma as Federal Grand Jury B Indictments Announced
Clint Johnson, Acting United States Attorney, announced the results of the September 2021 Federal Grand Jury B. The grand jury returned indictments against several individuals accused of various crimes, including murder, assault, and burglary.
Jared Nathan Black, 45, of Jenks, is charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Murder in Indian Country and Carrying, Using, and Brandishing a Firearm During and in Relation to a Crime of Violence. According to the indictment, Black pointed a firearm at the victim’s head and pulled the trigger after the victim intervened in a domestic assault. The gun malfunctioned and did not fire. Black is also charged with discharging the firearm during a crime of violence.
In a separate case, Cody Buzzard, 27, and Dakota Buzzard, 20, both of Grove, are charged with First Degree Murder in Indian Country, Assault with Intent to Commit Murder in Indian Country, and Carrying, Using, Brandishing, and Discharging a Firearm During and in Relation to a Crime of Violence. The brothers allegedly aided and abetted one another when they shot and killed Jerry Tapp on August 1, 2019. They are also charged with shooting a second victim during the same incident and brandishing and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
Additionally, Ty Warren Copeland, 29, and Eric Richard Lee Ramey, 24, both of Tulsa, are charged with First Degree Burglary in Indian Country, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to do Bodily Harm in Indian Country, and Assault by Striking, Beating, and Wounding – Misdemeanor. The two allegedly broke into a Sapulpa home on January 4, 2021, and assaulted the occupants. Copeland is also charged with swinging a knife at one of the victims and stabbing another with the knife, while Ramey is charged with striking one of the victims with a baseball bat.
Joshua Jose Dicristofaro, 30, of Broken Arrow, is charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to do Bodily Harm in Indian Country. According to the indictment, Dicristofaro swung a machete at the victim, striking the victim’s hands on August 31, 2021.
Finally, Jeffrey Ryan Eaglin, 32, of Tulsa, is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Eaglin allegedly admitted to being a member of the Irish Mob and stated that the marijuana was intended to be smuggled into jail or prison.
The FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and Delaware County Sheriff’s Office are among the investigative agencies involved in these cases. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Victor A.S. Regal, Chantelle D. Dial, and Leah Paisner are prosecuting the cases.
