A 32-year-old Muskogee woman has been sentenced to time served for her role in distributing methamphetamine in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Karrie Michelle Brown, 32, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, was sentenced to time served for one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine.
The charges arose from investigations by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. On March 27, 2023, Brown pleaded guilty to one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine.
According to investigators, Brown sold approximately 55.25 grams of methamphetamine on December 11, 2019. The Honorable John F. Heil, III, U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing in Muskogee.
Assistant United States Attorney Joshua Satter represented the United States. The sentence is a stark reminder of the consequences of getting caught in the web of methamphetamine distribution in Oklahoma.
The investigations by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are a testament to the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies in the state to combat the scourge of methamphetamine.
